I took up Pilates around 18 months ago to help alleviate recurring back pain and to improve my level of fitness.
My classes have been varied and interesting and also challenging enough without causing discomfort to my back. I feel I benefit greatly from these one to one sessions. Gill assesses my posture throughout the lesson and modifies the exercises if needed. I've attended large Pilates classes at my local gym and feel that I don't get the same level of attention as I do from a one to one session. Taking these lessons has also encouraged me to regularly practice Pilates which I think has eased my back pain and improved my flexibilty and general level of fitness and body tone.
